Sony VAIO C Series Laptop PC Review
The Sony VAIO C Series laptop is powered by 1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5500 with 2MB L2 Cache, 667 FSB and it features Intel Mobile 945GM Express Chipset motherboard, 512MB DDR2 SDRAM (upto 2-GB max), 80GB Serial-ATA 5400 rpm hard drive and 24X DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive.
The Intel Core 2 Duo processor allows Sony Vaio C notebook PCs to be upto 40% faster and 40% more energy efficient against any older Pentium 4 based systems.
The Sony Vaio C series laptop sports magnesium alloy chassis and while a premium version of this notebook has stronger carbon-fiber exterior with a faster processor and host of security features.
Made from the black carbon-fiber, the same material as the chassis of race cars made of, its exterior is very light, yet stronger and more scratch-resistant than magnesium alloy. This notebook has an understated and classy black-and-grey theme which sits well in an office environment.
Preloaded with Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition, the Sony Vaio C series laptop sports 13.3-inch Widescreen WXGA TFT colour display with Clear Bright technology with the Hybrid Graphic System powered by NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 with NVIDIA TurboCache having 256 MB Video Memory offering upto 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution.
Weighing just about 2.3 Kgs (including battery) the new Sony Vaio C laptop PC features internal WiFi 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN connection and integrated Bluetooth standard v2.0+EDR for wireless networking. In addition the notebook also featrues 10/100 ethernet adapter and integrated V.92 and V.90 compliant Modem/Fax.
Sony Vaio C series laptop also comes with Intel High Definition Audio with 3D audio (Direct Sound 3D support) and has built-in Altec Lansing Stereo Speakers.
